However, if you want unlimited library importing you will have to purchase one of the upgrades. There are other upgrades as well like the ability to you use headphones and additional effects packs. Upgrades range from $3 to $10 and are available for purchase in the app store.

Kazaa is a company most known for its role in peer-to-peer file sharing in the years past. However, with a push for new copyright laws and internet censorship to prevent illegal sharing, the company has been forced to rework most of its operations and services – I believe its older P2P software is even banned in some countries.

touchAble for iPad

 

touchAble was developed by AppBc and it turns your iPad into a controller for Ableton Live. This is a really cool app for any DJ or producer with an iPad and Ableton. You can mix, edit, and manipulate your Ableton arrangements on the fly. It comes with built-in FX, velocity sensitive drum pads and keyboards, automapping, transport and clip functions and much more. Other great components to this app are its Wi-Fi capabilities – allowing you to use this app anywhere within the realm of a Wi-Fi signal. This means you don’t have to be glued to your computer and that you can take advantage of the iPads ability to be a mobile device- although there is some latency involved.

Amplitube 2 for iPad

 

Released late last year by IK Multimedia this iPad music app has been gaining steam ever since.  Now bolstering even more features than its highly respected predecessor – Amplitube 2 – is more powerful than ever.

 

My first experience with Amplitube was several years ago when I purchased it as an audio processing plug-in for my DAW.  It was a good multi-effects processor for guitar then and is an even better one now. The simple the fact that I can have access to it on an iPad, which I can easily take anywhere, is super cool.
